Remember The Promise

I want to start out this post by asking you one thing, Has God ever promised you something? The answer is a resounding yes. Whether you know it or not, God has made each and every one of us a promise. In fact, He has made us at least 7,000 promises, all of which are found in the Bible. He has made even more than that to some of us, but each of His promises come with a price. They are like a Contract, or a Covenant as worded in the Bible. Having established the fact that God has made us a promise, let me assure you this, Whatever God has promised you, He will deliver to you that promise. It is worth more than the powerball was last week. It is worth more than all of the money in the world, if He promised it to you, not only will it be fulfilled on Earth, it will be fulfilled in Heaven. “Whatever you bind on Earth, it will be bound in Heaven, Whatever you loose on Earth, will be loosed in Heaven.” I want you to remember the promise. The reason I want you to remember the promise is because it is easy to forget with the cares of life. Remember the promise. Let’s take a look at Noah

Genesis 9:11

And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Think about the whole story of Noah, he built an ark, his family spent day after day, week after week, locked up in the ark because of the rain. When the rains stopped, when the waters receded, there was a rainbow which was the promise that the world would never be destroyed again by a flood. But you can imagine, with the cares of life that happened after the flood you can just imagine what Noah’s family must have thought when the clouds started rolling in. “Do we need to get back in the ark?” “Is it going to flood us out again?” But they had to remember the promise!

What about Abraham? What about Sarah? They were promised a son, and Abraham thought the promise was fulfilled when Ishmael was born, but it wasn’t. Think about this, even when Abraham moved outside of what God meant to happen, the promise was still fulfilled! Isaac was still born! So even if you think that the promise has been fulfilled for you, keep praying! Ask God if His promise has been fulfilled in your life! Because if it hasn’t, then every day you are missing out on a blessing!

I know of some people that their children have not come to the Lord yet, but because their parents are/were faithful, then their parents have the promise to see them come into the sheepfold. Acts 2:39 says, “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” What promise? Acts 2:38 tells us that this promise is Salvation with repentance, baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. A gift is promised! And the price has already been paid! So if He has promised you something, and He has, then I encourage you to Remember the Promise! Remember your Promise!
